Lesson 2: Exploring “Eastbound”
Aim: How can we use note patterns to explore Music of India? Sing “Eastbound”
- Listen to “Eastbound,” Track 25.
- Learn the chorus to “Eastbound,” Track 26.
Practice singing it slowly with Falu. Challenge students to sing it faster and faster until they can sing it as fast as Falu, Track 27.
- Listen to the entire song again and sing along with the chorus, Track 25
.- In this song, Falu uses the notes of the Indian scale instead of lyrics.
Explore Solfège Patterns
- Review and sing the five-note solfège scale (do, re, mi, fa, sol),
